Billing
How the trial works, how to change plans, and what happens when you cancel.
The free trial
New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. It is a one-time welcome: if you have subscribed before, you are charged immediately instead, and the checkout screen says so rather than promising a trial you will not get.
Paying
Payment is handled by a dedicated payment processor. Surf does not hold your card details. Invoices and payment methods live in Settings, then Billing.
Changing plan
Upgrading takes effect immediately. Downgrading keeps your current tier until the end of the period you have paid for, then moves you down.
Cancelling
Cancel at any time from Settings, then Billing. Access continues to the end of the paid period. Nothing you made is deleted when a subscription ends.
What happens to paid features afterwards
- Posts longer than the free limit stay published and readable.
- Cosmetic profile perks are cleared automatically.
- Pinned posts above the free limit are unpinned, not deleted.
- Fan subscriptions you sold are handled separately. See Payouts.
Auto-renewal terms, including the amount and the first charge date, are shown before checkout, not after.
