Shorts
Vertical video up to three minutes on every tier, with a full editor behind it and a trial mode for testing.
Shorts are capped at three minutes on Free, Sapphire, Pro and Ultra alike. What the tier changes is the upload quality and the editing tools, not the length.
Making one
- Record in the app, or bring in footage from your device.
- Edit in Studio: cut, speed, filters, captions, audio. See Studio.
- Add a sound from the library, or use your own audio.
- Write a caption, set who can reply, and publish.
Sounds
Every sound has its own page listing the Shorts that use it, so a track is a way to find work as well as to score it. Using a sound from a Short adds you to that page.
Trials
A trial Short is shown only to people who do not follow you. It stays out of your followers' feeds and off your profile until you promote it, at which point it publishes to everyone and joins all the normal feeds. Trials are managed in Settings, then Trials.
A trial is a test of reach with a cold audience, not an A/B test of two edits. There is one version of the Short, shown to non-followers only.
